The Holy Smokes united in 2018 out of a chicken coop in West Orange, New Jersey. This four-piece alt-indie rock band met after being recruited by the CIA to lead a disinformation campaign against the deep state. Finding that peddling propaganda was a dying art form, they opted instead to play music.
